ICNL Hires New Legal Advisor for Central and East Europe

The International Center for Not-for-Profit Law is pleased to announce that Amy Horton has been hired to serve as our new Legal Advisor in Washington, DC. Ms. Horton was the Associate General Counsel to the Peace Corps from 1998. During this time she provided legal opinions, policy advice, and assistance to senior management at headquarters and overseas posts in resolving issues relating to all aspects of Peace Corps’ operations. Ms. Horton has worked in Eastern Europe, Africa, and Asia. Previously, Ms. Horton was an Associate at Shea & Gardner, a Washington, DC litigation firm. Ms. Horton holds a BA from Stetson University and a Law Degree from the University of Miami School of Law.

Under the direction of ICNL's Program Director for CEE and other ICNL senior staff, Ms. Horton will help develop ICNL's Central and East European Program, focusing primarily on the countries such as Albania, Kosovo and will assist with ICNL’s Partners for Sustainability Project. The CEE Program applies an integrated approach, focusing on legislative assistance, capacity building, implementation assistance, and regional initiatives.
