8. Project Objectives
I will produce a guidebook on CSO registration requirements in Egypt in Arabic for free distribution to Egyptian civil society organizations. My objective is to educate Egyptian CSOs about existing CSO registration requirements in order to improve their capacity to comply with these requirements.
9. Intended Results
The result of this project will be an increase in CSO understanding of rights and restrictions affecting their registration under the Egyptian CSO law.
10. Proposed Activities and Timeline
Weeks 1 – 2: Interviews with CSOs to identify level of knowledge of registration requirements, and common problems and misunderstandings about the registration process
Weeks 2 – 4: Drafting and editing of guidebook in Arabic; translation to English for ICNL review.
Weeks 4 – 6: Distribution of working draft of guidebook for comment.
Weeks 6 – 8: Feedback collected from CSOs; guidebook revised to reflect feedback.
Weeks 8 – 10: Distribution of final guidebook.
11. Monitoring and Evaluation Procedures
Project results will be evaluated using the following indicators:
1. Number of guidebooks distributed to Egyptian CSOs.
2. Number of Egyptian CSOs reporting increased knowledge of registration requirements on reporting form.
