AFAN YouTube Grants Program

The International Center for Not-for-Profit Law (ICNL) is pleased to announce the availability of small grants ranging from US $5,000 - $10,000 to fund the design and production of YouTube videos on topics related to civil society.

Grants are to be used for the creation and recording of a YouTube video addressing any component of civil society, including but not limited to (1) the meaning of civil society and the role of civil society organizations; (2) the legal framework for civil society; (3) sustainability of civil society organizations; (4) good governance and accountability in civil society organizations; and (5) effective, advocacy and public participation.  

Grants are only available to individuals and civil society organizations residing and operating in Jordan, Iraq, Lebanon, Egypt, Palestine, Morocco, and Yemen.

Applicants must submit a concrete proposal that identifies an outline of the topics to be covered, a timeline, and a budget. Applicants with a demonstrated ability to create compelling and effective YouTube video will be given priority. For an example of the type of video we seek, please visit @QabilaTV on YouTube.

All proposals are due by September 30, 2012. YouTube videos should be completed and submitted by December 15, 2012. Videos will be posted on ICNL’s webpage, YouTube, and other social media portals and will be made available to the public.
