Gulmira Kuzhukeyeva is a Legal Advisor for ICNL’s Eurasia program, helping to manage and implement ICNL’s programs and projects in Eurasia. Ms. Kuzhukeyeva provides technical legal assistance, including written comments and analyses of draft legislation, among other duties. She has 14 years of experience working with ICNL in different capacities, from a legal consultant to the Chief of Party for ICNL’s Central Asian program.

Ms. Kuzhukeyeva is an expert in human rights, corporate, tax, investment, and finance/banking laws relating to civil society. She provided technical and legal assistance to CSOs, government agencies, and international organizations in these areas. During her work at ICNL, she contributed to improving at least 30 legal acts benefiting civil society, which have been adopted and implemented.

Before ICNL, Ms. Kuzhukeyeva worked as a lawyer in the commercial and government sectors. Ms. Kuzhukeyeva has a Bachelor of Arts in International Law and Public Service from the Kazakh State Law University.
