It requests several documents, including those related to the organization of the protest, the funding of the ANSWER coalition by Neville Roy Singham or any foreign entity (particularly those connected with the Chinese Communist Party), and any communications between the coalition and Iran or its terrorist proxies.

Letter to IRS to investigate supporters of NSJP

Letter from 16 U.S. Senators to the IRS Commissioner demanding that they “open an investigation to determine if the supporters of the National Students for Justice in Palestine (NSJP), including the AJP Educational Foundation (AJP), the Tides Foundation, the Westchester Peace Action Committee Foundation (WESPAC Foundation), and other benefactors of NSJP have engaged in conduct warranting revocation of their tax exempt statuses on the basis of their financial support of NSJP.” The letter cites a 2024 lawsuit filed against AJP and NSJP to claim that AJP serves as Hamas’s propaganda division in the United States and that both organizations responded to Hamas’s “call for mass mobilization” after the October 2023 attack. The Senators who signed the letter were Senator Joni Ernst, Senator Bill Cassidy, Senator Marco Rubio, Senator Thom Tillis, Senator Markwayne Mullin, Senator Roger Marshall, Senator Kevin Cramer, Senator Mike Crapo, Senator Dan Sullivan, Senator James Risch, Senator John Thune, Senator Lindsey Graham, Senator Ted Cruz, Senator Marsha Blackburn, Senator Mitt Romney, and Senator Katie Britt.

The members were Senator Lindsey Graham, Senator Chuck Grassley, Senator John Cornyn, Senator Mike Lee, Senator Ted Cruz, Senator Josh Hawley, Senator Tom Cotton, Senator John Kennedy, Senator Thom Tillis, and Senator Marsha Blackburn. The letter claims the Center “sponsors events featuring anti-Semitic speakers, individuals who justify violence against the State of Israel, terrorist sympathizers, and advocates for domestic radicalism.” The letter asks if the Center has ever been supported by federal or state funds, either directly or indirectly, or foreign funds. It also asks if the President supports the continued existence of the Center under current leadership.
