ICNL’s resources and information on Malaysia.

Overview

ICNL is supporting local partners to reform Malaysia’s umbrella non-governmental organization law so that it is easier for organizations to register and operate. ICNL provided comparative expertise to a workshop of civil society organizations to inform their recommendations to the Government of Malaysia for enabling legal reform. ICNL is also working with parliamentarians and civil society partners to advance legal protections for the freedom of expression.
