Shaping Civic Space

By promoting an enabling environment for civil society, philanthropy, and public participation, ICNL empowers people to address societal challenges. Our 2014-2015 Annual Report provides an overview of how we advanced this vision at the global, regional, and national levels – from engaging with the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the Open Government Partnership to  partnering with civil society colleagues in countries as diverse as Brazil, Bulgaria, China, Iraq, Kenya, Myanmar, Turkmenistan, and Uganda. In 2015 we also hosted our Global Forum in Stockholm, which brought together over 200 of the world’s leading experts in civil society, government, multilateral institutions, and the donor community.
