Senator Josh Hawley sent letters to three organizations alleging their role in “financing and materially supporting the coordinated protests and riots” in Los Angeles. The letters request information related to planning, coordinating, or funding the protests and immigration enforcement, including relevant communications, financial documents, grant applications or funding proposals, and other information. The organizations that received the letters are the Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights, Party for Socialism and Liberation, and Union del Barrio.
