Daria Miloslavskaya has managed ICNL’s programs in the Russian Federation since 2006. Prior to working with ICNL, Ms. Miloslavskaya managed CSO-law and advocacy related projects implemented by IREX (2005-2006) and served as the Legal Director of the Independent Press Center in Moscow (2003-2005). Her other experience includes over 20 years’ legal and managerial work in the non-profit sector. In addition, Mrs. Miloslavskaya has taught as an Associate Professor (Dotsent) at the Russian People’s Friendship University (Department of Linguistics and Journalism) since 2004, as well as teaching as Adjunct Associate Professor in the Moscow State University’s Department of Journalism (lecture course, “Contemporary Mass Media Law”). Ms. Miloslavskaya has personally contributed to drafting and advocating for over 20 laws over the past 10 years in Russia. She has authored over 50 publications relating to CSO legislation, linguistics, and general issues of media and CSOs’ activities. She assisted with CSO-law related legislation in Uzbekistan, Belarus, and Turkmenistan. She is a graduate of the Moscow State University School of Law, in addition to holding other degrees.
