Jiyan Khalil is the Program Officer of the Middle East and North Africa regional office of the International Center for Not for-Profit Law in Amman, Jordan. Since she joined ICNL in 2015, Jiyan has been engaged in supporting all MENA projects planning and implementing in many countries such as: Morocco, Tunisia, Jordan, Iraq and Palestine, Granting, Communication, and program to promote civic freedoms and improve the legal environment for civil society.

Prior to joining ICNL; Jiyan worked at the International Center for Agricultural Research in the Dry Areas (ICARDA) to help undertaking research-for-development to provide innovative, science-based agricultural solutions that improve the livelihoods resilience of rural dryland communities in MENA region, as well as working for Renewable Energy Project in Jordan.

Jiyan is a graduate from the Hashemite University of Jordan specialized in Computer Science, and was able to create her own career path and gained over 10 years of experience in Non-Profit Sector due to her passion in making a positive impact and progress of people and planet.
