Nokatbek Idrisov is Director and Legal Consultant for ICNL LLC in Kyrgyz Republic and has served as the organization’s director since 2007. Nokatbek is a member of the Public Council under the Ministry of the Economy and serves as a Board Member of Public Association Counterpart – Sheriktesh.

Prior to joining ICNL, he was a lawyer and lecturer for International University in Kyrgyzstan (IUK), where he consulted on labor and academic issues, represented IUK in courts and taught academic courses on the Theory of State and Law, Administrative Law, Labor Law, Economic Law, and Environmental Law.

Also, Nokatbek participated in drafting various laws of the Kyrgyz Republic, National Programs; as a legal expert he was involved in international projects of the World Bank, UNDP, GEF, TACIS, USAID; and he is a member of the Commission on Environmental Law of International Union for Conservation of Nature.

Nokatbek graduated from Ural State Law Academy in Russia in 1993. He has written a series of publications on different aspects of NGO Law.
