Challenges of Policing the Protests in Montenegro

In late 2015, Montenegro saw a wave of protests that aimed to boycott Parliament and demand the resignation of the Prime Minister and Government.

In this article, Institute Alternative looks at the specific challenges that emerged during the facilitation of protests by law enforcement officials. They identify two major challenges for the future policing of protests: excessive use of force and the lack of transparency by the police.
