ICNL Advisory Council Member Mark Sidel Receives Outstanding Academic Award for Distinguished Academic Achievement in the Nonprofit Sector

Mark Sidel, Doyle-Bascom Professor of Law and Public Affairs at the University of Wisconsin, received the 2012 Outstanding Academic Award from the Nonprofit Organizations Committee of the American Bar Association, Business Law Section. Prof. Sidel’s research and writing focus on the nonprofit sector and philanthropy, Asian law, law and development, comparative law, and human trafficking. He previously served with the Ford Foundation in Beijing, Hanoi, Bangkok and New Delhi, focusing on philanthropy and the nonprofit sector, legal reform, and governance. Prof. Sidel also serves on numerous boards and advisory councils, including ICNL’s Advisory Council.
