PUBLISHED: JUNE 15, 2007

The new Law of the Republic of Tajikistan on Public Associations (PAs Law) was adopted by the Tajik Parliament and published in the official government newsletter on Saturday, May 19, 2007. The International Center for Not-for-Profit Law prepared an analysis of the PAs Law at the request of the public association Obschestvo i Pravo (Society and Law). The purpose of ICNL’s analysis is to highlight the changes in the regulatory environment for public associations set forth in the PAs Law, and to identify issues which might arise during its implementation.
