Thanks to the generous support of the MacArthur Foundation, ICNL is pleased to introduce the Civic Freedom Monitor. The Civic Freedom Monitor seeks to provide up-to-date information on legal issues affecting not-for-profit, non-governmental organizations (NGOs) around the world. A network of individuals and organizations will work with ICNL to monitor legal developments affecting civil society in 30 countries as well as the activities of 8 multilateral institutions. The first phase of the project has been completed, with an in-depth analysis of 10 countries and 3 regional multilateral organizations.
