ICNL President Doug Rutzen moderates panel for 2015 Social Good Summit
PUBLISHED: SEPTEMBER 28, 2015
The 2015 Social Good Summit was held on September 27 and 28 this year in New York City, kicking off the UN General Assembly. The Summit is a two-day conference examining the impact of technology and new media on social good initiatives around the world and uniting a dynamic community of global leaders and grassroots activists to discuss solutions for the greatest challenges of our time. The theme this year, #2030NOW, asked the question, “What type of world do I want to live in by the year 2030?”
Doug Rutzen, ICNL’s President and CEO, moderated one of the panels held over the course of the two days. The panel was titled “Combating Closing Space for Civil Society” and it included three panelists: Ben Rhodes, Deputy National Security Advisor for strategic communication; Dr. Danny Sriskandarajah, Secretary General of CIVICUS; and activist Marcelle Calle. The full video of the panel discussion can be found here.
