Rwandan NGOs hold consultation to contribute their input to new NGO law
PUBLISHED: MAY 31, 2012
More than 50 domestic and international NGOs held a consultation to make recommendations on a new draft law governing NGOs which the Government of Rwanda has published in the Official Gazette. The one day meeting was organized by the Ministry of Local Government and facilitated by the Rwanda Initiative for Sustainable Development (RISD). The meeting’s objective was to discuss the draft law governing NGOs so that when the law is published civil society will have contributed its input.
