In partnership with FHI 360, ICNL produces USAID’s Civil Society Organization Sustainability Index, which reports annually on the strength and overall viability of CSO sectors in more than 70 countries in Central and Eastern Europe and Eurasia, Asia, Sub-Saharan Africa, the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), and Mexico. The Index assesses seven key dimensions of sectoral sustainability: legal environment, organizational capacity, financial viability, advocacy, service provision, sectoral infrastructure, and public image.
