The International Center for Not-for-Profit Law is pleased to announce that Katerina Hadzi-Miceva has been hired to serve as our new Legal Advisor in Budapest, Hungary.

Ms. Hadzi-Miceva received her Law Degree from the University of St. Cyril and Methodius, Faculty of Law, in Skopje, Macedonia, and a Master of Law (L.L.M.) degree in Comparative Constitutional Law with additional specialization in Human Rights, from the Central European University (CEU) in Budapest. During her final year at the Faculty of Law in Skopje, Ms. Hadzi-Miceva volunteered at the Civil Society Resource Center, working on projects regarding detained persons and refugees. During her studies at CEU, she co-founded the Human Rights Students’ Initiative (HRSI) and subsequently served as Public Relations Officer and later Program Coordinator of the organization. Ms. Hadzi-Miceva has been working closely with ICNL-Budapest since May 2000. She also served as an intern for ICNL in Washington, D.C. in August 2000.

Under the direction of ICNL’s Program Director for CEE and other ICNL senior staff, Ms. Hadzi-Miceva will help develop ICNL’s Central and East European Program, focusing primarily on the countries of the former Yugoslavia. The CEE Program applies an integrated approach, focusing on legislative assistance, capacity building, implementation assistance, and regional initiatives.
