The UAE has a federal regulator for philanthropic organizations. While this authority regulates philanthropic organizations at the federal level, such organizations are in most cases also subject to emirate-level regulation as well.

This factsheet examines the differences between four key jurisdictions: Onshore UAE (excluding Dubai), Onshore UAE (Dubai), the Dubai International Financial Centre and the International Humanitarian City.
