Elly Page
Senior Legal Advisor
Elly Page is a Senior Legal Advisor with the U.S. Center for Nonprofit Law, an ICNL initiative. Her work focuses on legal issues at the intersection of civil liberties and nonprofit law, including the right to peaceful assembly, the impact of counterterrorism laws on civil liberties, and threats to nonprofit tax-exempt status. Elly has testified as an expert witness before Congress and is regularly quoted in the New York Times, Washington Post, Financial Times, and the Guardian, among other outlets.
Before joining USCNL, Elly served as a Law Fellow with the Cairo Institute for Human Rights Studies in Cairo, Egypt, a Senior Research Associate with the Public International Law & Policy Group, and a researcher with the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace in Washington, D.C. She holds a J.D. from American University Washington College of Law and a B.A. from Harvard University, and is a member of the New York bar.
