This toolkit helps non-governmental organizations in Tanzania understand and comply with legal obligations related to registration, permits, reporting, access to funding and financial incentives. It was authored by the Tanzania Association of Non-Governmental Organizations (TANGO) with support from ICNL.
The toolkit is a unique resource that is designed to be a one-stop information source for NGOs, synthesizing requirements from the Non-Governmental Organizations Act No 24 of 2002, the Coordination Guideline for Non-Governmental Organizations in Mainland Tanzania, and other relevant laws. It also references guides developed by other organizations as appropriate.
