Zaida is a Canadian-Colombian communications professional fluent in English, Spanish, and French. She has over a decade of experience leading strategic communications for international organizations focused on peacebuilding, human rights, and sustainable development, including Amnesty International and the International Crisis Group.
Most recently, she served as Vice President for Communications at WOLA (the Washington Office on Latin America), where she led efforts to amplify advocacy for democracy and human rights across the Americas. She specializes in strengthening digital strategies to broaden reach, shape public narratives, and drive policy change.
Zaida holds a Master’s degree in Communication from the University of Ottawa, a Graduate Diploma in Arts Management from HEC Montréal, and a Bachelor’s degree in Communications and Cultural Studies from Concordia University.
