Sage Pereira

Legal Associate

Sage Pereira is a Legal Associate with the US Center for Nonprofit Law, an ICNL initiative. Before joining ICNL, Sage was the Public Interest Law Fellow at Free Speech For People and a Law Clerk to the senior judges of the D.C. Court of Appeals. She also held legal internships with Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington, the ACLU of Tennessee, and the Institute of Museum and Library Services. Her publications include several articles on laws related to Confederate monument removal. Before entering law, Sage ran museum history programs, performed as a touring musician, and served as Director of Cultural Engagement for Braver Angels, a national nonprofit focused on reducing polarization in America.
Sage is a graduate of Vanderbilt Law School (J.D., Order of the Coif), Brown University (M.A.), and Yale University (B.A.). She is a member of the District of Columbia Bar.
