Federal Constitutional Act dated 3 rd July 1973 for the implementation of the
International Convention on abolishment of all forms of racial
discrimination

Article I

(1) Any form of racial discrimination – also to the extent not already in
contradiction with Article 7 of the Federal Constitutional Act as amended
1929 and Article 14 of the Convention for the Protection of Human Rights
and Fundamental Liberties, Federal Law Gazette no. 210/1958 – is forbidden.
Legislation and execution shall refrain from any discrimination for the
sole reason of race, colour of skin, descent or national or ethnic origin.
(2) Para 1 shall not prevent granting special rights to Austrian citizens
or imposing special obligations on them, unless contradicted by Article 14
of the Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental
Liberties.

Article II

The Act dated 3
rd April 1919, State Law Gazette no. 209, regarding the
expulsion and confiscation of the property of the house of Habsburg-
Lothringen, as amended by Act dated 30
th October 1919, State Law Gazette no.
501, of the Federal Constitutional Act dated 30 th July 1925, Federal Law
Gazette no. 292, of the Federal Constitution Act dated 26 th January 1928,
State Law Gazette no. 30 and the Federal Constitutional Act dated 4 th July
1963, Federal Law Gazette no. 172 and the Article 60 para 3 of the Federal
Constitutional Act as amended in 1929 are not affected.

Article III

The Federal Government shall be in charge of executing the subject
Federal Act.
